7. Botox Injections (Botulinum Toxin)

Treatment with botulinum toxin (Botox) is a long-term solution for face and forehead sweating. It temporarily blocks the chemical that switches on the nerves that cause excessive sweating. If you and your doctor opt for these injections, your skin will first be anesthetized. Each affected area of your head and/or face will receive enough injections to ensure that all the nerves have been treated. The injections are shallow and penetrate just below the surface of the skin.
